Prior to Shepherd: A 2010 graduate of Smithtown East High School where he played baseball for Ken Klee. Lettered four years in baseball. Also lettered in bowling, golf, and volleyball. Played for Suffolk County League III championship team. Gained All-League and All-County accolades. A team captain. Earned Most Improved Player and MVP honors. Batted .420 with three homers and 20 RBIs as a senior. A transfer from University of Tampa.
