2011-12: Sat out the season as a medical redshirt. 

2010-11: Appeared in 28 games. Averaged 2.9 points and 2.2 rebounds. Led the team in field goal percentage with a .635 (33-52) mark. Had a career-high 16 points against Washington Adventist.

Prior to SU: A three-year basketball letterwinner at Musselman High School. Member of regional champion team in 2009. A Second Team All-State selection as a senior. Averaged 19 points and 14.9 rebounds. Named Boys Basketball Player of the Year by The Journal.

Personal: The son of Andrew and Tammy McDonald. A 2010 graduate of Musselman High School, McDonald is majoring in sociology.
