PRINCETON, W.Va. – Junior forward Morgan Gabriel (Egg Harbor City, NJ/Holy Spirit) of the Shepherd University women's soccer team has been named the WVIAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, as announced by the league office.

Gabriel helped the Rams go 2-0 for the week. She had a pair of goals in a 6-0 non-conference victory over Chowan on Tuesday.

Needing a win to get into the WVIAC Tournament, Gabriel came through with the lone goal in the Rams’ 1-0 victory at Ohio Valley on Thursday afternoon. The win gave Shepherd the No. 4 seed in the tournament.
