VIENNA, W.Va. – Freshman forward/midfielder Bryce Fugitt (Waldorf, MD/North Point) scored two goals and assisted on another to lead Shepherd University to a 6-0 win over Ohio Valley in WVIAC men's soccer action at Ohio Valley on Thursday.
Junior midfielder Abel Setegn (Arakilo, Ethiopia/Winston Churchill {MD}), sophomore forward Ricky Johnson (Columbia, MD/Long Reach), and Mashinski each contributed assists.
Shepherd had a 24-7 advantage in shots and a 1-0 edge in corner kicks.
Freshmen goalkeepers Alex Aleshire (Hagerstown, MD/Willliamsport) (1) and Dan Cericola (Berlin, MD/Stephen Decatur) (1) combined to record a pair of saves for the Rams. Darcy Turner had four saves and Christian Breaux added two for the Fighting Scots.
Shepherd improves to 8-8-1, 5-4-0 in conference play, while Ohio Valley completes its season at 0-16-0, 0-9-0. The fifth-seeded Rams return to action on Tuesday when they travel to fourth-seeded Wheeling Jesuit for first round action of the WVIAC Tournament.
