LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Sophomore defender Kaitlyn Socks (Hagerstown, MD/North Hagerstown) recorded a hat trick to lead Shepherd University to a 6-0 win over Lincoln University in women's soccer action at Lincoln on Sunday afternoon.
Sophomore forward Taylor Amsley (Saint Thomas, PA/James Buchanan) scored a goal and added two assists, while sophomore midfielder Kasey Canterbury (Berryville, VA/Clarke County) tallied a goal and an assist.
The Rams also got a goal from sophomore defender Kelsey N. Smith (Hagerstown, MD/North Hagerstown), while junior forward Morgan Gabriel (Egg Harbor City, NJ/Holy Spirit), junior defender/midfielder Erika Martin (Germantown, MD/Northwest), and sophomore defender Danielle Roos (Frederick, MD/Tuscarora/Austin Peay) each contributed assists.
Shepherd had a 19-11 advantage in shots while Lincoln had a 6-0 edge in corner kicks.
Junior goalkeeper Elizabeth Wise (Newark, DE/Caravel Academy) recorded three saves for the Rams, while Sima Sinaforosa had five saves for the Huskies.
Shepherd improves to 3-5-1, while Lincoln falls to 4-4-0. The Rams return to action on Thursday when they travel to Cedarville for a 3 p.m. contest.
