LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. – Shepherd University dropped a 2-0 decision to Chestnut Hill in men’s soccer action at Chestnut Hill on Thursday.
Channing Coullard scored an unassisted tally at the 35:41 mark to give the Griffins a 1-0 lead at the break.
Chestnut Hill added an insurance goal when Patrick Steger scored on a feed from Ross Garabedian at the 82:44 mark.
Chestnut Hill had a 13-11 edge in shots and a 2-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Freshman goalkeeper Alex Aleshire (Hagerstown, MD/Willliamsport) had one save for the Rams. David Sullivan had a pair of saves for the Griffins.
Shepherd falls to 3-3-1, while Chestnut Hill improves to 3-3-1. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Davis & Elkins for a 3 p.m. contest.
