GETTYSBURG, Pa. -- Shepherd University split tennis action with Gettysburg College at Gettysburg on Wednesday afternoon. The Shepherd men took a 7-2 victory, while the women dropped a 7-2 decision.
Junior Chris Pratt (Charleston, WV/George Washington), junior Michael Lesko (Mt. Airy, MD/Linganore), sophomore Steve Kolumban (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg), senior Taylor Boyle (Churchville, MD/C. Milton Wright) and junior Al Starlings (Mt. Airy, MD/Linganore) all recorded singles wins for the Shepherd men.
Pratt and Boyle and Lesko and Kolumban also teamed up for doubles victories.
Sophomore Katelynn Mumaw (Charles Town, WV/Washington) posted a win at number one singles and later teamed with Alice D’Alauro (Boonsboro, MD/Boonsboro) for a victory at number one doubles to lead the Shepherd women.
