LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Shepherd University dropped a 3-2 decision to Lock Haven in volleyball action at Lock Haven on Tuesday night. The Lady Eagles posted an 18-25, 25-27, 25-14, 25-16, 15-5 victory.
Senior outside hitter/libero Kasey Mercier (Baltimore, MD/Mount de Sales Academy) had 11 kills and 12 digs, while junior outside hitter Kayla Walker (Palmyra, VA/Fluvanna County) added 14 kills and nine digs to pace the Rams.
Senior setter Sara Michael (Winchester, VA/James Wood/Hagerstown CC) contributed 36 assists and 16 digs.
Bailey Farthing had 18 kills and Gao Xuan added 17 to lead the Lady Eagles.
Shepherd falls to 4-7 on the year, while Lock Haven improves to 5-6. The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to West Virginia Wesleyan for a 7 p.m. contest.
