SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Concord edged Shepherd University, 5-4, in women’s tennis action at Shepherd on Sunday.

Shepherd got singles wins from sophomores Katelynn Mumaw (Charles Town, WV/Washington) Alice D’Alauro (Boonsboro, MD/Boonsboro) and freshman Emily Johnson (Mt. Airy, MD/South Carroll). Mumaw and D’Alauro also teamed for a victory at number one doubles.

Shepherd drops to 0-4, 0-2 in WVIAC action, Concord improves to 1-2, 1-2. The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they host Mount St. Mary’s for a 3 p.m. match.
