RALEIGH, N.C. – Number six seed Shepherd University dropped a 5-1 decision to number three seed Bloomsburg in NCAA II Atlantic Regional men’s tennis action at Biltmore Hills Park on Sunday.
Shepherd’s lone win came at number one doubles as sophomore Chris Pratt (Charleston, WV/George Washington) and j unior Taylor Boyle (Churchville, MD/C. Milton Wright) teamed for an 8-2 victory.Shepherd completes its season at 16-9, while Bloomsburg (16-4) advances to face host Shaw University, a 5-0 winner over West Liberty, on Monday.
Notes: Shepherd made its fourth NCAA II regional appearance. The doubles win by Pratt/Boyle is program first in regional play.
