PHILIPPI, W.Va. -- Alderson-Broaddus handed Shepherd University a 2-0 loss in WVIAC women’s soccer action at Alderson-Broaddus on Tuesday afternoon.
Gwen Brown’s unassisted tally at the 7:04 mark gave the Battlers a 1-0 lead at the break.
Taylor Bryant scored on a feed from Megan Johnson at the 63:43 mark to complete the scoring.
Alderson-Broaddus had a 7-1 advantage in shots.
Sophomore netminder Lauren Vetock (Pasadena, MD/ Institute of Notre Dame) had three saves for the Rams. Kate Laird (0 saves)recorded a shutout in goal for the Battlers.
Shepherd falls to 4-9-2, 2-4-1 in WVIAC action, while Alderson-Broaddus improves to 10-3-1, 4-3-1. The Rams return to action on Thursday when they host Pitt Johnstown for a 3 p.m. contest.
