SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Sixteen Shepherd University student-athletes were recently inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma honor society.

Chi Alpha Sigma honors student-athletes who have accumulated a minimum 3.40 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and have participated in men’s or women’s collegiate sports. They may be inducted into the honor society in their junior or senior year of college.

Shepherd joins more than 190 other colleges and universities from 40 states in honoring its high-achieving student-athletes. Shepherd became the first chapter in West Virginia earlier this year.
