Katie Warehime
PRINCETON, W.Va. -- Senior forward Katie Warehime (Littlestown, PA/Littlestown/Fairleigh Dickinson) and senior guard Krissy Grosselin (Dayton, OH/Ramstein (Germany) HS) of the Shepherd University women's basketball team were named to the 2008-09 All-WVIAC Women's Basketball team. Warehime gained first team honors, while Grosselin was a second team choice.
Warehime has averaged 17.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists this season. She leads the team in scoring and is second in rebounding. Her .507 field goal percentage is the best on the team. Warehime also tops the team in blocked shots with 35. She is currently 16th on the all-time scoring list with 915 points despite playing only two seasons with the Rams. Her 470 points this year tie Stefanie Carr (1987-88) for the second most in program history in a single season.
Grosselin has averaged 12.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists this season. The team's second leading scorer, Grosselin is the squad's top three-point threat with a team-best 35 treys. One of the team's most accurate free throw shooters, Grosselin has hit on 85.3 percent (64-75) of her foul shots. She ranks fifth on the Shepherd all-time scoring list with 1,242 points. Her 107 career three-pointers rank her third on the SU list.
