WILMINGTON, Del. -- Senior Trevor Hedges (Martinsburg, WV/Martinsburg) of the Shepherd University men's golf team shot a one-over-par 72 in the final round for a three-day total of 225 (77-76-72) to tie for second place at the NCAA Division II East Region men's golf tournament at Back Creek Golf Course.

Hedges and West Liberty's Matt Hicks finished three strokes behind Clarion's Jared Schmader, who shot a nine-over-par total of 222. 

Indiana (PA) held off West Liberty's charge as the Crimson Hawks captured the 2008 NCAA Division II East Region men's golf title by two strokes.
