PRINCETON, W.Va. -- Senior Casey Moser (Parkersburg, WV/ Williamstown) and junior Roger Torres (Elkton, MD/C. Milton Wright) of the Shepherd University men's tennis team were named to the 2008 All-WVIAC Men's Tennis Team as selected by the league's head coaches. Rookie Adam White of West Virginia Wesleyan was selected as the WVIAC Player and Freshman of the Year, while Bobcat mentor Lee Underwood was the pick as the WVIAC Coach of the Year.
Moser, who gained WVIAC Player of the Year honors from 2006-07, earned All-WVIAC honors for the third straight year. He was also selected as WVIAC Freshman of the Year in 2005.
Torres, a transfer from Harford Community College, gained all-conference honors in his initial season with the Rams.
Second-seeded Shepherd (12-5, 5-1) will face seventh-seeded Fairmont State today in first round action of the WVIAC Men's Tennis Championship.
