Tired of choosing which team to support?  On May 16th, 2008 the Shepherd University women's athletic teams (basketball, softball, soccer, tennis and volleyball) will be joining forces to raise awareness for women in sport.  Here is your chance to help out all female athletes.

      20 miles outside of Shepherdstown / PGA course

      Directions are provided both on Maryland National's website.  They will eventually be on our athletic site.

When: May 16th, 9 AM Shotgun Start 

How to participate:    Find a foursome! 

            
Email me and I'll send you the brochure or download it off of the athletic website (coming soon) ....fill it out and send it in before April 15th!!

In return, you will receive a day of golf with friends, athletes, coaches, alumni, supporters, and other avid sports fans...as well as receive give-a-ways, contest opportunities, breakfast, lunch, and event t-shirt....

    The athletes of Shepherd University are fortunate in their opportunities to compete, excel in the classroom, and become a vital part of our society.  These opportunities came available to women after Title IX was implemented which denies the exclusion of anyone on the basis of sex from participating in any educational program or activity receiving federal assistance.   The women's athletic teams here at Shepherd University have joined together to raise money for updating equipment and gear, to improve travel conditions, and balance equality in the area of athletic scholarship.
