Shepherd University shot a three round total of 995 to finish 10th out of a 13-team field at the the WVIAC Men's Golf Championship. Ohio Valley fired a 926 to win the team title, while Concord's Ryan Terdik earned the individual championship with a 54-hole total of seven-over par 223.

Shepherd was unable to complete team play due to a player withdrawing due to illness and another being disqualified.

The Shepherd University men's golf team opened the season with a bang as they captured the team title at the Senator Shootout at the Raven at Raven Golf Club in Snowshoe, West Virginia. Shepherd edged host Davis & Elkins, 626-to-627, in a five-team field in the two-day tourney. The tourney win was the first for the Rams since April 2005 when Shepherd won the WVIAC Northern Regional.

Fairmont State University erased a two shot deficit on the final three holes to capture the team title. The Falcons surpassed both Charleston and Indiana University of PA after a third round score of 293, giving them a three day total of 896.
